We have decided to save all this snow for Grammie, Moe, Nannie and Nono. We just wanted to make sure that they remember what Winter in New Hampshire looks like!!!

UPDATE 7:31pm SNOWFALL about 7inches

Now it is two hours later and the snow just keeps coming.... Brian is still not home.. it was going to be a long ride home tonight.... I still need to go out and get a shovel because ours broke in the last storm UUUGGGHHHH.... As you can see Bri and I have some shoveling to do after the kids go to bed. Fun fun fun!!!!

I just swept the stairs and walkway when I got home... as you can see it is piling up fast. Luckily it is LIGHT!!

Just making sure that you still want to visit for the holidays!!! I know that this must be quite different from what you are used to.

She is a big shot

Here is Sophie being a ham. She loves her new snow boots, and of course if it is Ethan, well of course it is hers too.... She has taken over his John Deere hat. As you can see Ethan has a new hobby in the background!! Yuck

...and the crackers... oh yes, we have at least one spill a night, that calls for the vacuum. I am starting to think that they just like to see me clean things up.

Sophie in her Snowsuit

I can not help but laugh. She is so stinkin' cute that it is funny. Ethan of course is showing off his little sister. Here they are after baths last night... We were making sure that the suit would still fit her.

Ethan's Fourth Meal

Never fails.... Daddy usually gets home around 7 so the kids and I have already ate dinner. As soon as Brian tries to sit down and eat... here he comes... Ethan always wants to eat again, and he wants Daddy. Daddy is a good sport, and it is becoming a ritual that they will eat together when he gets home.

I can't believe I ate one....

FRIED FROG LEGS

Only the hind legs of frogs can be eaten. Cut off the feet. Peel off skin, turning inside out. Wipe with cold damp cloth. Season with salt and pepper and roll in flour. Dip in well beaten egg, diluted with a little water. Roll in cracker crumbs. Fry in deep hot fat until golden brown. "About 4 minutes." "If desired legs may be seasoned by soaking in a mixture of lemon juice, salt and pepper 1 hour before rolling in flour

Ethan joined the NO CAVITY CLUB

Ethan has made it through his first visit to the dentist. He was not overly thrilled to be there, but he knows that this is part of becoming a big boy. He let her brush his teeth with a tooth brush, and count his teeth, as well as check for cavities. He is a proud member of the NO CAVITY CLUB. Ok Ok I guess that I am more proud to be the mother of a member of the NO CAVITY CLUB.

I think that the upside down approach is his attempt to act like the dentist.

Sophie too...

Sophie will be going to the dentist soon also, and does not want her brother to show her up, so she is preparing to join the no cavity club as well.

Sophie weighs in also

I did one for Ethan, so here is one for Sophia. She went to the doctors on Friday and weighs in at a whopping 20 pounds 9 ounces. She is 31 inches tall. During this visit we also found out that not only did she have an ear infection, she had 2!! Then she had to sit through a vaccination shot, as well as a flu shot. Then we walked down the hall and she had to have blood drawn to check her lead levels. Not only did they dig in one arm, but they couldn't get into a vein so they went to the other arm as well. AAGGGHHH poor baby.

I am happy to note that today she feels much better. She still looks down at her thigh, that once had a band aid on it, but I think she will be fine. Her nose is still dripping, but maybe she will have a Christmas miracle and that will dry up.

Another BIG BOY move

Yet, another big boy mission accomplished for Ethan. This little guy has had the TV in his room since he was a couple months old. In the beginning it was, Baby Einstein, that soothed him at night. Then as time passed it just became a bad habit. (Ok, Ok, I know, it is not his fault. Believe me I know, and have learned, Sophie does not have the TV on !) Well a couple weeks ago, we moved the TV into the playroom. I am happy to report, that he watches it less, and can go to bed without it. It was not nearly as hard, as we were thinking and I think the first night, he slept straight thru!!!! What a big boy.

His new room set up

Our big boys' new room set up. I was afraid to have him sleep in the top bunk, with the whole bathroom thing. (He gets up to go, and I was afraid of him falling down the ladder.) This set up allowed him to have more room, and easier access into his bed. (Also easier to change the sheets!)

Ethan and his computer

Brian was offered this computer by a friend. He accepted it, and now Ethan has taken a liking to it. His favorite thing is the paint game on it. I like it because he has learned to move the mouse around and click with the other finger. As you can see he is very into his computer... He will play on this for a long time.

Ethan is also a big boy now. He no longer has a TV in his bedroom to fall asleep to. He has let us put it in the playroom, and he can watch it downstairs. He now goes upstairs for sleep only. Well on the weekends, we play in the bedrooms in the early morning, but other than that, the bedrooms are for sleep. He did an amazing job with the transition, given how attached he was to it. Now for the night light. I am not going to push to turn that off, I will let him keep that. We did just add a new light to his room that has a dimmer so maybe gradually :)

A Great Thanksgiving

We would just like to thank Kerry for opening her doors to us for Thanksgiving. We enjoyed playing scrabble, watching movies, and re-hashing 'ol times. There is never a dull moment when we get together. (Well maybe that hour that half the house fell asleep) :)

You are more than a sister, you are my friend, and I love you.

Thank you again and can not wait to get together for Christmas.

Next time though, we will sweep the house of belongings BEFORE we leave!!!!

Time Change

Does anyone else feel the time change yet... I did this morning when Ethan got up and the clock still said 5:30 am.... uuggghhhhh.

A big two thumbs up goes out to Denise. I am very proud of her stepping out into the world with her Wubbies at her first craft show. Good for you Denise!!!!

Ethan weighs in...

Well to compliment Denise's entry... Ethan too had his three year visit. We went on Halloween (which let me remind myself never to do again, seeing as how he did not get a nap). He is 38 inches tall and weighs in a whooping 32.5 pounds. He is practically the same exact size as Reagan. I will let you all know how Sophie does when she goes the day after Thanksgiving for her 18 month visit!!

Our First Scarecrow

Ethan, Sophie and I made our first scarecrow. We were thinking of Daddy when we did, because we raided the closet and used the clothes that he doesn't wear!! With the help of the basketball, and one of Ethan's helmet... the great scarecrow:)

P.S. Denise... I did take an idea of yours and brought the camera outside with us today to see if I could capture some of the seasons best colors.

Up here Sophie....

That is what I heard... I was raking some leaves by the swing set, and Ethan was playing in the leaves on the little hill. Then I hear him tell Sophie to follow him to the top. VISIONS of the two of them rolling down the hill came to mind. So we all played together in the leaves. Sophie is becoming very independent and frankly thinks that she can go anywhere...She has mastered the stairs so I guess running down a hill is next!!

I have tried and failed miserably... I have also come to the conclusion that you CAN NOT make a Toddler sit. I wanted so badly to see her sit with the red leave and take the "perfect" picture. Then reviewing the pics on the cam... how could these pics not be perfect, this is Sophie, doing what she does best... Just being Soph.

This is absolutely my favorite time of the year. The colors, the smell, the cool air... well cool air, today I think that it reached nearly 80 degrees!!! End of October and 80 degrees, I can not believe this!!!

Keene Pumpkin Festival

We had a great time in Keene. The kids did a fantastic job, and were very well behaved. There was so much to look at. Ethan saw a few spiderman costumes walking around, and every time he saw one, he would web them!!!
